Every chef has been to our kitchen

Before a chef can be booked they pass an ID check, hygiene and good-conduct documents, two references and a tasting at our test kitchen. Their profile shows their signature menus, the areas they travel to and the dates they are free.

Book a menu, or ask for a quote

Some menus can be booked straight away. For anything else, send a request with your date, your guests and everyone’s allergies. Chefs reply with quotes priced per guest, and you can counter before you accept.

The service fee is shown on top of the chef’s price, before you pay, so the chef keeps their full price.

Your payment is held, not handed over

You pay by M-Pesa when you accept. PikaBox holds the money until the dinner is done: you share a completion code with the chef at the end of the night, and only then is the chef paid.

If something goes wrong, keep the code and tell us. Support steps in before any money moves.

On the night

Two days before, the guest count locks and the groceries are bought. Your exact address is shared with the chef only for the booking. They arrive with an arrival code, cook in your kitchen and leave it as they found it.
