Nutrition

Not enough data

Too many ingredients are not matched to our nutrition table to give a fair estimate.

How we estimate: we add up the ingredients using the Kenya Food Composition Tables (2018) and USDA FoodData Central, then divide by the servings. It’s an estimate, not a measurement, and not medical advice.

  1. 1
Heat the vegetable or olive oil and Achiote seeds in a small skillet over medium heat for about 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. 2
Don't let the seeds turn black. Remove the skillet from the heat and let stand for 5 minutes more. Strain the oil and store for up to 15 days at room temperature in a jar with a tight lid.
